If you have followed my work for a while, you might have noticed the theme of volleyball with many of my brides. I was lucky enough to coach volleyball for 10 years and over those 10 years, I got to know so many amazing girls and their families. Ellen is one of those amazing girls who I love so very much – she almost feels like part of my family. I have loved watched her grow up from a little girl into the amazing woman that she is today! I will never forget when Ellen was still in middle school, she asked me if I would like to see her wedding binder/folder. It was all of her hopes and dreams for her future wedding and it made me smile to look through it with her as she explained the different photos she had carefully put together along with her notes. So needless to say, it was such an honor to photograph her wedding day and I kept thinking of that sweet little girl during her ceremony. I’m not kidding when I say that I started to cry. I legit, was sniffling and wiping tears away as my sweet Ellen said “I do” to the man of her dreams. A man who is kind and sweet and patient and smiles at Ellen the way that makes your heart melt! I fell in love with Dru at their engagement session. If you missed those photos, you can check them out here! Everything about this day was perfect and I am so excited to show you some of my favorite images from their wonderful day! Please be sure to go all the way to the end to see the surprise exit that Ellen planned for Dru! It was the best way to end their day! Congrats, Ellen and Dru! I love you so very much and am so happy and blessed to know you and can not wait to see what God has in store for your future together!
