You might remember this STUNNING COUPLE from their BEAUTIFUL engagement session. If you haven’t seen their photos yet, do yourself a huge favor and go take a look at them here! I was so excited for their wedding day because Katlyn and Drew are an absolute blast to be around. I had so much fun getting to know them and I’m warning you now – get ready for a long post with so many photos because I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites. Katlyn and Drew were married in Columbus, IN at Factory 12 Event Loft on December 4th, 2021. It was a gorgeous Christmas wedding with hints of Disney everywhere you turned. (Katlyn and Drew are huge Disney fans.) Their talented wedding planner, Robin Herington (aka The Wedding Lady) even placed “hidden Mickeys” within the reception decor! If you love Disney, you know how amazing that little detail is! I had way too much fun looking for all the hidden Mickeys! We started off the day at Hotel Indigo where everyone was busy getting ready. We then had some precious first looks with Katlyn’s bridesmaids, her dad and (of course) with Drew. After Katlyn and Drew’s first look, we quickly walked to one of the gorgeous locations that we all loved from their engagement session but the sun was just too bright to shoot there. So, we literally turned the corner and found a spot with beautiful light for their portraits. Honestly, these images are some of my favorite wedding photos ever! For any of my former photography students or any new photographers out there – remember that good light trumps a good location every time! Always look for good light! After we took some epic bridal portraits, we met everyone over at the venue for bridal party photos and their beautiful candle lit ceremony. It was a magical night with tons of precious moments (including some of the most eloquently written vows that I have ever heard). But my absolute favorite memory from their wedding day was when Katlyn surprised her mom with a mother/daughter dance. I don’t know if there was a dry eye in the house. Congratulations, Katlyn and Drew! I loved getting to know you guys and hope that I will get to see you again sometime soon!
