Indiana spring isn’t always what you hope for or what you expect. Three days before Brittany and Charlie’s wedding, I was scoping out locations around Franklin for their wedding day. It was sunny, blue skies and unseasonably warm. Well, come Saturday – the weather took a spin and decided to be cold, incredibly windy with a slight drizzle of rain. But it didn’t dampen any spirits and these two braved the cold with me to get some gorgeous photos outside. We managed to stay outside for quite a while but finally the cold wind won the battle. So, we ran back inside to The Garment Factory, their beautiful venue, and finished up photos where things felt nice and toasty. First looks are quickly becoming one of my favorite things on wedding days. Brittany did a first look with her bridesmaids, her dad, her grandparents, with Charlie and they even did a first look with their fur baby, Asher!!!! I was so excited when Brittany and Charlie told me that they wanted some photos with Asher. I’m ALWAYS up for photographing pets – especially dogs. So, we did a cute little first look with Asher and let’s just say – he stole the show! He was the best boy ever! Their entire wedding day was full of so many amazing and wonderful people and moments but I wanted to highlight one for you in this post. Brittany’s grandpa sang the song “Sunrise Sunset” for them at the reception and it was one of the most precious things I have ever witnessed. I continue to pinch myself that this is my job and that I’m so blessed to be a part of such amazing celebrations. Congratulations, Brittany and Charlie! I can’t wait to see all that God has in store for you!
