There are not enough words to describe how incredible this day was – it truly was the perfect wedding day. I first met Allie and Tate at their engagement session last year and immediately knew that their wedding was going to be a blast. These two have so much fun together and are constantly laughing and smiling with one another. So, take this happy couple, then add in their amazing family and awesome friends and you get one epic party! And to be honest, I was smiling the entire time that I edited their reception/party photos! These people know how to have a good time and I’m so happy that I was there to capture such fun moments! It didn’t hurt that they hired Ryan from Mac Events to be their DJ – this guy always makes sure the dance floor is filled with guests having a good time!
We started off the day at the Iron Works Hotel where the girls were getting ready with hair and makeup. And from there, we drove to Allie and Tate’s beautiful wedding venue – the Black Iris Estate. The sweet ladies of Graceful Hands Floral Design were busy arranging all the stunning floral arrangements inside and outside the venue and every little detail was perfect and the day was stress free thanks to their wedding coordinator Christine and her amazingly talented team from Christine Kingery Events.
The day was full of so many sweet moments. We had a few “first looks” that made my eyes a little weepy. My favorite was Allie’s first look with her brothers! Tears were flowing and I loved watching how much her brothers love and cherish their sister. The other “look” that made me a little weepy was when Tate saw Allie for the first time. She smiled at him as she walked down the aisle and he just tried to keep it together. It was so amazing! Oh, and did I mention that Tate recently graduated from West Point?!?!? When I first saw him in his uniform – my jaw dropped in awe from how handsome he looked and my heart was full of gratitude to him for his service to our country. Thank you again, Tate!
Camden and Claire Johnson – the talented couple who make up Sea Jay Films was there the entire day filming and they are truly two of my favorite people to work with in the industry. I can not get over how beautiful their wedding films are, and I always look forward to watching their videos. Please go check out their work! It is so good!!!!
