I had the amazing privilege of photographing Spencer and Samantha’s wedding day this past October. I have known Sam for years. I first met her when she was just a little middle school girl on my volleyball team. You might have started noticing a trend. Many of my brides have also been former volleyball players of mine and I absolutely love it! It is such a huge honor when any of them ask me to photograph their weddings. I’m not kidding – I honestly get teary eyed when any of “my girls” walk down the aisle to their true loves! And speaking of Sam’s true love… Spencer! I have to share this story because it was brought up a few times on their wedding day and I just thought it was precious and perfect. Apparently when Sam was little, her favorite Disney prince was Aladdin. She always wanted to marry Aladdin. I mean, who can blame her! Aladdin is so darn cute and such a sweet guy. Plus his best friends are a cute monkey and a genie! Well, everyone (including Sam) likes to joke that she did in fact get to marry Aladdin. You will understand when you see Spencer’s photo. He is so incredibly handsome and sweet! We just need to find him a monkey and a genie. The DJ even played “A Whole New World” at one point during the reception, ha!
