When I married Jamie I was not only blessed to become a part of his loving immediate family but I became a part of his awesome extended family! I gained amazing grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. His cousin Annie was just a little girl when Jamie and I got married and she loves to tell the story about how she didn’t like me at first because I was taking Jamie away from her. Luckily that quickly changed and now she says I’m one of her favorite cousins! Yes! I love it! And I love her. Annie is a person that you can’t help but love. I know… I know… I already talked all about her when wrote the post for their engagement photos. But I just really want you to understand what an amazingly special human being she is. She has a servant’s heart with a love for life and fun! Her passion to help others is evident in everything she does. I’m so thankful to have her as a part of my family and my life. Now Seth has joined our amazing family and I couldn’t be happier. I know my kids are pumped about it, too! Even though they are “just little kids” – Seth made them feel so special and important when he met them and I know they can’t wait to play games with him on the beach this summer. (Get ready, Seth!)
Annie and Seth were married at Maranatha’s beach in Michigan last October. If you know my husband at all – this is the place that he calls “Heaven on Earth.” It is a wonderful summer camp where Jamie’s grandparents lived in a cottage (that his Grandpa built)! And it’s where Jamie’s family and Annie’s family spent their summers growing up. So, needless to say the location of this wedding was very special to those who know and love Maranatha. It was chilly and windy. I’m not gonna lie. But the sun shown down on us with its warm rays and we even found a spot in the wood where the wind couldn’t reach us. It ended up being the perfect day.
The reception took place at Maranatha’s Sweet Shop (best ice cream ever!). Annie’s aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all came together to decorate the Sweet Shop and made it absolutely perfect for the celebration. It was the perfect place to end the day. Congrats, Annie and Seth! I love you so very much and am so happy for you!
