Makaila and Isaac were married on August 1, 2026, at The Wilds, and despite a forecast that seemed determined to bring rain, it turned out to be such a beautiful wedding day.
I kept checking the weather in the days leading up to their wedding, hoping the forecast would change. But every time I refreshed my phone, there it was… more rain. Of course, no one dreams of rain on their wedding day, but honestly, it feels like rain has been in the forecast almost every day here in Indiana lately!
Thankfully, Makaila and Isaac didn’t let the weather slow them down one bit. Anytime we had a break in the rain, we headed outside and made the most of it, capturing beautiful photos around The Wilds. And when the rain started back up, we got creative indoors and found beautiful spots for photos there, too.
Looking back, I love how their day came together. The rain simply became part of their story, and there were so many beautiful moments, genuine smiles, and memories throughout the entire day. At the end of it all, it was a day filled with beautiful moments and beautiful photos.
Congratulations, Makaila and Isaac! I loved getting to meet you both, getting to know you, and spending the day with your amazing friends and family. You guys are truly awesome, and I’m so thankful I got to be there to capture your wedding day!
