I have known Alec for years. My husband was his basketball coach in high school and because our school is smaller, it feels more like a family. So many of the boys on the basketball team became a part of my family. Ask any of my children, these high schoolers felt like big brothers to them and still do. We would have weekly Bible studies at our house and team dinners and sometimes the guys would just stop by to hang out with us. I have so many wonderful memories from those years and have loved watching so many of them grow up from nutty teenagers into amazing men of God. Alec is definitely one of these special guys and it was such an honor to photograph his wedding. I’ll never forget when he told us about this beautiful girl he was dating! He spoke a mile a minute about Kenzie and told us all the amazing and wonderful things about her. Then we got to meet her and we instantly adored this incredible lady who had stolen Al’s heart. Kenzie is kind and sweet and cares so much about others. She loves her friends and her family but most of all, she loves Jesus! I praise Jesus that He brought Alec and Kenzie together. They are definitely going to do huge things for Christ together. They were married at The Sixpence on New Year’s Eve! Talk about a party!!!! What an incredible way to ring in the new year! The Sixpence is such a gorgeous venue and was the perfect backdrop for their beautiful day. It was a little cold and rainy and snowy outside but we still managed to go out for a few portraits and I’m so thankful for everyone that was willing to freeze a little for me and my camera. I loved every part of this day but I have to admit, their reception was my favorite part. It was a constant party from the beginning to the end when the ball dropped! Be sure to scroll to the end of this post to see all the fun! Congratulations, Alec and Kenzie! I love you both so very much and can’t wait to see what your future holds!
