As I worked on these photos, my daughter walked by and saw a photo of the groom’s mother on my computer screen. She got so excited and said, “I love Mrs. Weems. When I see her in the hallway, she gives me a hug and I give her a hug! She was my favorite kindergarten teacher!” So, if you haven’t already figured out from my daughter’s comment – we have a very special connection to the groom and his family. We have known the Weems family for years and are so thankful for them. I was incredibly honored when they asked if I would photograph Tyler and Shailyn’s wedding. I met Shailyn for the first time this past year at a GCA girl’s basketball game (go Cougars) and immediately fell in love with her. She is sweet, funny, kind and sooooo beautiful with a smile that lights up a room! I’m so thankful that Jesus brought these two together. They were married on May 11th downtown at Industry and it was an awesome day! It’s been a crazy, wet spring here in Indiana but we lucked out with a few dry hours to get some photos done around the city. Be sure to scroll down to see one of my favorite moments from the day. We did a first look with Shailyn and her grandparents – cue all the tears!!!!! Tyler and Shailyn, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful wedding day! Congrats!!!
